TAKE THE SUBTLE, MORE PROACTIVE AND EFFECTIVE APPROACH TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS OR BRAND
Do you ever imagine that it may cost too much to attract your ideal client to your business? Well, from my experience it may be because you are focusing too much on trying to sell and too little or almost nothing on attracting your target audience. And both are not the same!
IT ALL BEGINS WITH YOUR CONTENT: CREATING AND SHARING VALUABLE CONTENT IS ONE OF THE BEST STRATEGIES TO ATTRACT YOUR IDEAL CUSTOMER.
CONTENT MARKETING IS A MARKETING TECHNIQUE OF CREATING AND DISTRIBUTING RELEVANT AND VALUABLE CONTENT TO ATTRACT THE ATTENTION OF A WELL-DEFINED TARGET AUDIENCE, WITH THE AIM OF DRIVING THEM TO BECOME FUTURE CUSTOMERS.
THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN WE CREATE AND SHARE VALUABLE CONTENT, THE IMMEDIATE GOAL IS NOT TO SELL.
Of course, you want to attract your ideal customer to eventually buy your products or services, but it should not be the goal of the first contact.
CONTENT MARKETING IS ABOUT ADDING VALUE BEFORE ASKING FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN. SO, GIVE BEFORE ASKING.
Most of us don’t like to know that they are selling us on the first contact. It is like when you enter a store, do you like the saleswoman to jump on you as soon as you cross the door and start bombarding you with information, prices, discounts?
In general, we do not like it. And in the online world, the same thing happens. If you only talk about your products, your prices, and your offers, it is very difficult for your ideal customer to be really attracted.
It is like having a first date and the other person does not stop talking about themself and how spectacular they are. You are probably dying of boredom and can’t wait to go home! Because you feel that that person did not care about meeting you and hearing what you had to tell or how you felt.
With your business, it is the same and much more… Customers like to be listened to, to have an opinion. Your brand communication must be open and round-trip.
IF ALL YOU DO IS TALK ABOUT YOURSELF AND SELL, IT MAY BE VERY DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO MAKE YOUR IDEAL CLIENT FEEL ATTRACTED AND WANT TO RETURN.
SO TODAY I WANT TO SHARE FIVE ACTIONS THAT YOU COULD TAKE WITH YOUR CONTENT TO ATTRACT YOUR IDEAL CUSTOMER.
Of course, first of all, you would need to define who that ideal customer is. Once you are clear about who you want to attract, then these five actions can help you achieve your desired goal:
1. HELP
This I think is one of the most powerful actions and in my opinion, should define everything you do. So, how can you help your ideal client? What could you offer to help him achieve what they are looking for?
Or what things could you do to help make your shopping experience that much simpler and more enjoyable?
In order to do this, the first thing you have to put in place is being very clear about what pec uliar needs the customer you are trying to attract has;
How do they currently feel and how would you like them to feel? What would it take to help them get what they want? How could you help them achieve that?
2. CONNECT
Connecting your potential client with other people, resources, or tools that would help them get closer to what they are looking for or needing.
PERHAPS YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS TO HELP THEM OR YOU ARE NOT AN EXPERT IN ALL SUBJECTS, BUT YOU CAN ACT AS A CONNECTOR.
3. ENTERTAIN
Sharing things that your potential client enjoys, brightens their day or helps them spend time in a much more beautiful way. Entertaining content can say a lot about your brand personality while connecting emotionally with your potential clients.
There could be situations when you are probably wondering whether or not you know enough to share or teach your audience or that you feel that you are not the best expert on the subject.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE TO BE ABLE TO TEACH OTHERS!
Many times, your ideal client is not going to know as much about the subject as you do. Perhaps you are a photographer, designer, makeup artist, or event organizer … there are things that from your own experience you know that your clients may not have ideas about!
Take, for instance, you don’t have to be the most expert photographer in the world to be able to give photography tips to someone who may be just starting out
Moreover, not many people want to learn from the most expert, but rather find it more valuable to learn from someone they see closer, with whom they relate more because it makes them see that feat as possible.
4. INSPIRE
Another action you could look for with the things you share is to inspire. “Suggest ideas, awaken or cause a feeling, a sensation or an impression”
Share ideas, examples, or cases that enable your ideal client to see how they could look or feel if they did that — Show them what is possible.
IT’S ALL ABOUT SHOWING WHAT IS POSSIBLE, THAT YOUR IDEAL CLIENT CAN VISUALIZE — HOW THEY WOULD LOOK OR FEEL OR THAT THEY ARE ENCOURAGED TO TRY OR DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
5. SIMPLIFY
Finally, another action you could take to attract your ideal client is to provide them with information or solutions that help them simplify their day-to-day tasks. You could think of things like checklists, printables, planners, etc.
What you offer doesn’t necessarily have to be something you sell. However, it should be centered around something that adds value by helping to save more money, time, or both!
CONCLUSION
So, there you have — the five amazing steps on how to attract your ideal clients the right way! I hope these tips help you attract your ideal customer!
I would love to hear your comments about what you think about these actions and if there are any tips or actions that you would like to apply to your business. Cheers!!
